Reconstruction of Nonuniformly Sampled Bandlimited Signals Using Digital Fractional Delay Filters: Error and Quantization Noise Analysis
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper deals with the problem of reconstructing nonuniformly sampled bandlimited signals. This problem arises in, e.g., time-interleaved analog-to-digital converter (ADC) systems due to time-skew errors. A synthesis system composed of (ideal) digital fractional delay filters for the reconstruction was recently proposed in [1]. In this paper, we briefly recapitulate the theory and continue with error and quantization noise analysis. The results of the error analysis are useful in the filter design (when optimizing practical digital filters that approximate the ideal ones) and quantization noise analysis.

Reconstruction of nonuniformly sampled bandlimited signals by means of digital fractional delay filters
This paper considers the problem of reconstructing a class of nonuniformly sampled bandlimited signals of which a special case occurs in, e.g., time-interleaved analog-to-digital converter (ADC) systems due to time-skew errors. To this end, we propose a synthesis system composed of digital fractional delay filters. The overall system (i.e., nonuniform sampling and the proposed synthesis system)...
متن کاملReconstruction of Nonuniformly Sampled Bandlimited Signals Using Digital Fractional Delay Filters
This paper considers the problem of reconstructing nonuniformly sampled bandlimited signals using a synthesis system composed of digital fractional delay filters. The overall system can be viewed as a generalization of time-interleaved ADC systems. By generalizing these systems, it is possible to eliminate the errors that are introduced in practice due to time-skew errors.
متن کاملReconstruction of Nonuniformly Sampled Bandlimited Signals by Means of Time-Varying Discrete-Time FIR Filters
This paper deals with reconstruction of nonuniformly sampled bandlimited continuous-time signals using time-varying discretetime finite-length impulse response (FIR) filters. The main theme of the paper is to show how a slight oversampling should be utilized for designing the reconstruction filters in a proper manner. Based on a time-frequency function, it is shown that the reconstruction probl...

This paper deals with reconstruction of nonuniformly sampled bandlimited continuous-time signals using time-varying discrete-time FIR filters. The point of departure is a representation of the reconstructed sequence that utilizes a time-frequency function. This representation enables a proper utilization of the slight oversampling that is assumed and reduces the reconstruction problem to a desi...
متن کاملThe Design of Optimum Filters for Quantizing a Class of Non Bandlimited Signals+
We consider the efficient quantization of a class of non bandlimited signals, namely the class of discrete time signals that can be recovered from their decimated version. By definition, these signals are cwersampled and it is reasonable to expect that we can reap the same benefits of well known efficient A/D conversion techniques. Indeed, by using appropriate multirate reconstruction schemes, ...
